Avatar

Hi friends,

Today i am going to share something about an wonderful film the "Avatar". There is no other film like this before and there will be not be any film like this in the future. The super script, storyline and visual effects made this film a grand success and made the Highest Grossed film of all time. Avatar was nominated for nine Academy Awards, including Best Picture and Best Director, and won three, for Best Cinematography, Best Visual Effects, and Best Art Direction.

Plot:
When Jake Sully's twin brother is killed, Jake's identical DNA gets him the opportunity of a lifetime -- the chance to take his brother's place on the mystical world of Pandora, where a corporation is trying to work with the planet's inhabitants in order to mine a very valuable material. His Marine background doesn't give him the scientific knowledge that his brother had, and the fact that he is confined to a wheelchair won't help in the dangerous and exotic environment, but Jake goes to Pandora anyway. His job will be to control an Avatar that looks just like the indigenous people, the Na'vi. The avatar is linked to Jake's consciousness, and allows him the ability to walk around freely in the Pandora environment.

Jake's mission, according to Col. Quaritch, is to get close to the Na'vi, learn their ways and gain their trust. When he is thrust into the alarming environment sooner than expected, a spiritual sign to a Na'vi woman, Neytiri, is the only thing that saves him from death -- either by her poisonous arrow or by the terrifying creatures that inhabit the land. Neytiri takes Jake to her father, the leader of the Na'vi, and it is decided that he will be allowed to live, and to learn their ways. With the help of scientist Grace, who founded the Avatar program, and her team, Jake lives the life of the Na'vi and returns frequently to report his findings.

As Jake is challenged by the extreme physical challenges of becoming a Na'vi warrior in this strange new world, he begins to understand the Na'vi and their strong connection to all life on the planet. Jake begins to fall in love with their ways, and with Neytiri in particular. But his enlightenment comes too late, because at the base, Quaritch has convinced corporate leader Selfridge to go ahead with a plan that will lead to a violent and epic battle -- one that will force Jake to decide between what's right and fighting against his own race.

2012

Hi Friends,

Good to see u all, Today i am going to share my thoughts about this fantastic film 2012. This is a disaster film which is made fully of awesome special effects. This film shows that what will happen if the world ends in 2012, and the emotions of people, their crual behaviour, their ability to take chances and with lots of sentiment and touching scenes. I like this film very much because our india is mentioned as the greatest country with lots of knowledge in physics and astrophysics. In this film there is a scene where the scientist explains all the leaders and presidents of all country that " There is a young astrophysicistt from India, who is the reason we are all here", it means that an Indian is the one who made the americans and all other people to live. Those are extrordinary words, and rare from an americans mouth, thanks to the director who made us proud. I clapped my hand till it become red for that scene when iam watching this film in the theatre. All should see and enjoy this film, and let us hope that nothing should happen like this in the year 2012, December 21 . Thank u.

Essentially the film is based around the ancient Mayan belief that the world as we know it will end on the winter solstice of 2012 due to increased solar radiation heating the Earth’s core and destabilising the continental crusts. As you would expect in this type of movie a brilliant US scientist, Adrian Helmsley (played by Chiwetel Ejiofor) discovers what is happening in 2009 and alerts the President of the impending disaster. In 2010 the President is shown telling other Heads of State at the G8 Summit, and in 2011 key artefacts of human civilisation begin to be evacuated for safe storage.

In 2012 cracks begin to appear in the Californian coast and rapidly the continental plates begin to shift and break up, causing catastrophic earthquakes and massive devastation. The process culminates in a series of colossal Tsunamis around the world that wipe out most human life.

The human focus of the film revolves around a second rate, divorced author, Jackson Curtis (played by John Cusack) who struggles to save his ex-wife Kate, her new partner, and their two children from the impending destruction. He learns of what is going to happen on a camping trip to Yellowstone National Park when he bumps into an eccentric Charlie Frost (played by Woody Harrelson) who broadcasts a radio programme highlighting the Mayan predictions. Frost tells him of an international plan to build a series of Arks in China to withstand the destruction of the Earth and save the human race. Jackson returns to Kate’s house just in time to save them from the destruction of Los Angeles and flies them out in a twin-engine aircraft. Meanwhile we witness the destruction of the Vatican and later on the White House and Washington DC.

Jackson and his family get a lift on a Russian Antonov transport plane with his boss, a Russian billionaire ex-boxer, who has bought himself and his two sons tickets for one of the Arks at Euro 1.6bn per ticket. They arrive in China and make their way to the secret facility where six massive Arks have been built, just before a 1,500m high tidal wave hits the area. Eventually the family get on board an Ark but in so doing manage to jam the hydraulic system that seals the boarding door and prevents the ship taking in water. Through many more struggles and tense moments the family survives and the film ends with three of the Arks making their way towards the newly raised continent of Africa to restart human civilisation.

The movie is directed by the German director Roland Emmerich. Inspired to direct after watching the Star Wars film he is now one of the highest grossing directors of all time in the US with films such as “Universal Soldier”, “Stargate”, “Independence Day”, and “The Day After Tomorrow” to his name. His films have grossed almost $1bn in the US alone. “2012” cost $200m dollars to make, significantly less than the original $260m production budget.

Unusually for a mainstream US film many of the leading characters are black or Asian, including the US President (played by Danny Glover). There are some humorous cameo performances of characters such as Queen Elizabeth, rushing with two Corgis to get on one of the Arks, and California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger but regularly the plot stretched credibility too far for me, as Jackson and his family managed to survive every natural disaster thrown at them while everyone around perished. However, it is a truly gripping film with magnificent special effects.

Iron Man

Hi guys, Iam going to share some of the films i liked the most. The first film here is the Iron Man. This film was released in 2008. It grossed pretty well at the box office. Many people don't like this film much, but i like this film very much. The Computer Graphics used in this film is awesome that u will not blink u r eyes seeing that. The story is given below.

Plot:

The genius Tony Stark is the successful CEO of the Stark Industries, a weapon company founded by his father. His second in command is Obadiah Stane, who worked with his father, and his loyal and professional secretary is Pepper Potts, who has a crush on Tony. While in Afghanistan to demonstrate the ultimate Jericho missile developed by his company, his military convoy is attacked and Tony is seriously wounded on his chest and kidnapped by a group of rebels that wants him to assemble a missile for their use. Tony stays with his abductors for three months and develops a powerful metallic armor to escape from the cave where he is arrested. He decides to stop manufacturing weapons in his company under the protest of Obadiah, and dedicates his time to improve the armor, manufacturing it with gold and titanium and installing a propulsion system to fly. However, Pepper discovers that Tony was betrayed by Obadiah, who is using Tony's data to build prototype armor for him, transforming it in the ultimate weapon. I recommend all to see and enjoy this movie.
